At Ark Physical Therapy, we are committed to creating a welcoming, positive environment where patients feel supported from day one. Dr. Matthes brings over 9 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, along with a strong background in personal training, football coaching, and strength & conditioning for high school athletes. His passion for helping people move better and feel better comes from years of working with individuals of all ages and abilities.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey in 2011, Dr. Matthes went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in 2016. He is also board-certified in orthopedics and continues to stay up to date with new techniques like dry needling to better serve his patients.

Dr. Danielle Czarkowski
Danielle Czarkowski earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from High Point University in April 2024 and has been treating patients since graduation. She is passionate about identifying the root cause of each patient’s symptoms in order to restore function and promote long-term success.
Danielle believes in creating an uplifting and positive environment where patients feel motivated and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey. She is dedicated to helping individuals not only recover but continue prioritizing their health and wellness even after treatment ends.
Outside of the clinic, Danielle enjoys watching and playing sports, spending time with family and friends, and being with her dog, Ellie. She is an avid fan of the Giants, Yankees, and Knicks.
PT, DPT
Helen Zekarias earned her Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications from the University of Houston. She oversees the administrative and operational side of the practice, managing marketing, recruiting, payroll, and day-to-day operations.
With a background in Human Resources, she plays a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly and is dedicated to building efficient systems while fostering a positive workplace culture that allows the clinical team to focus fully on delivering exceptional patient care. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
